Merry christmas and happy Holidays??

Hey guys and to everyone who does read my blogs...

Merry christmas .... (but not happy holidays)

Some of your may ask why not say happy holidays. It is the beginning of our 3 month holidays of just pure bludging and pretty much doing nothing. Why not celebrate it

Well as Pastor Thong said in today's sermon, christmas is not a celebration of holidays its a day which reminds us of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem... He was not born in a royal crib or by royal blooded- parents. He was born from a virgin, Mary and was given birth in a manger. The birth of a man who was later to become our Messiah, Lord and Saviour. Dont think that is true check out the first two chapters of Luke.

It was because of Jesus, who later died on the cross, taking the punishment for our sins that we may be spared from the wrath of God And because of this we are able to appear righteous before God's eyes.

So to all, Merry Christmas and May God Bless you

There are a couple of reason why people (mostly Americans) say, 'Happy Holidays':

- Americans celebrate 4 major holiday events in the span of 4 weeks - Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah and New Years
- in order to cover all bases everyone says, 'Happy Hoidays'

So happy holidays Pat :P
