Be Strong and Stand Strong

Just today during Sunday service one of our fellow sister-in-Christ shared about her great aunt who had passed away recently. During her funeral, people were not mourning about her death but instead celebrating. People were wearing bright colours and singing songs of praise. For her great aunt was a faithful follower of God for 90 years and she had accomplished many things for God during her life here on earth. So even up to her last days she was always happy and when she moved on, it brought joy to all knowing that she was now in heaven with our Father in Heaven.

I think this was a really great testimony of what we as Christians should be aiming for. Just tonight we were talking about people who we knew to be strong Christians a few years back and now have fallen away. Sometimes it could even be someone who you would least expect. But the reality is that if i took a count of the number of people who are Christians approximately 50% of all Christian would fall away in the next few years. And of those who are Christian leaders 20% would still be leaders and 80% would fall away. This is pretty alarming but its real. So just like my friend's great aunt we should stand strong and perservere. Keep running the race for God and dont give up.
